Olive, Again
Navigating life with heart attacks, friends, poems and pedicures.
This is the continued story of Olive Kitteridge and the people in her town of Crosby, Maine. If you haven’t discovered Olive yet you are in for a treat. The character is lovable despite being blunt and full of contradictions. In this novel we follow her navigating growing old, marrying her second husband and trying to accept all the changes in her life. We also get to meet her neighbours and learn about their complex relationships.
Elizabeth Strout is a master at storytelling and describing the nuances in human relationships. Her books are all great reads. I recommend that you start with reading the first book about Olive, aptly named Olive Kitteridge.
