Norah is a writer in her fifties and is looking back on her life and on her relationship with her mother. Her mother Katherine was a famous Irish theatre legend. Norah grew up looking onto the stage. There was glamour, fame, money and men. It is a story of their relationships and the high and lows of the stage and off. It is also a search for validation and answers. 

Searching for the truth

Norah is searching for the truth to why her mother lost her mind and conducted a senseless crime It is a daughter’s reckoning, looking back at her memories of what happened and who her mother really was as a person, a mother and an actress. 

It is a great read with interesting and complex characters and an interesting look at post-war America and Ireland.
